Ramsay Gourd is an architect and interior designer living in Manchester, Vermont. Ramsay's artwork celebrates a traditional design aesthetic for today's living. His artwork celebrates his passion for the details that he discovers in his travels, hobbies, and professional work. Ramsay's designs have been engraved on a collection of Cherry serving pieces that bring entertaining at home to the next level. From coffee and dessert by the fire to drinks and charcuterie on the patio.

Laura Zindel is an artist and designer who combines her passion for the natural world to create elegant pieces of décor including her pottery line and our partnership of engraved wood and slate boards. Her work integrates techniques from the Arts & Crafts movement with modern industrial design practices and decorative arts inspired by the natural world. The Artist Collaboration between JK Adams and Laura Zindel is reflective of our passion for supporting local artisans and celebrating the beauty of the natural world.

Because the wood is slightly rough, it held onto a dusting of flour and dough never stuck to it. The wood also gripped the dough more than pins made from smoother materials, helping the dough respond to our movements more efficiently so we never overworked it."
A French rolling pin also helps me stay in tune with my dough, no matter what I’m rolling out. The dough is close enough that I can feel where the thickness changes and adjust how much pressure I apply. This, in turn, helps the dough bake more evenly. Rolling the pin across the dough also feels more natural than feeling like I’m pushing it.
